An Electrician with a Passion for Education

Eddie Rodriguez is an electrician. He’s worked as an apprentice electrician, journeyman electrician, master electrician, estimator, and project manager. He has over 28 years in the electrical construction industry, but his primary passion has been education.


He graduated top of this class as “Outstanding Electrical Apprentice” of the IEC Texas Gulf Coast Chapter’s Electrical Apprenticeship Program in 1994, eventually returning to teach apprenticeship classes for 13 years. He’s also taught various Continuing Education courses, Journeyman and Maintenance Exam Prep classes.

Eddie is a licensed Master Electrician in the State of Texas. He proudly holds three electrical inspector certifications – the ICC Commercial Electrical Inspector, the IAEI NCPCCI Electrical Inspector General, and the IAEI CEI Master Electrical Inspector (CEI-M).

He has the honor and privilege of representing the Independent Electrical Contractors (IEC) as Principal Member of Code Making Panel (CMP) 12 for the 2020 NEC. He previously represented the IEC as Alternate Member of CMP 2 for the 2017 NEC and Alternate Member of CMP 9 for the 2014 NEC.

Eddie is a member of NPFA, IAEI, and ICC. He’s actively involved with the IAEI Texas Gulf Coast Chapter.

He’s proud of his profession and he hopes to motivate and inspire others to succeed through education.
